Description
Hemmings Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse constructed from squared coursed limestone, featuring coped gables. The building has a slate roof with moulded stone end stacks and an L-shaped plan. It is two stories high and has a five-window range, with each window being a two-light casement topped with stone flat arches. A 19th-century addition includes a central door with a plain overlight and a wooden lintel. The rear wing has a four-light mullioned window on the ground floor, which is adorned with a hood mould and labels. There is also a plank door in the gable end that has a stop-chamfered wooden lintel. The interior has not been inspected but is expected to be of interest.
