Description
Coverwell Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse constructed from squared, coursed limestone, featuring quoins. It has an old tile roof that is hipped to the right, with brick stacks located internally and at the ends. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range with an L-shaped plan.
At the center, there is a 19th-century plank door that has a chamfered lintel and is topped by a 20th-century gabled hood. To the left on the ground and first floors, there is a 19th-century two-light casement window with wooden lintels. The first floor features a three-light casement window at the center, with a small four-pane light to the right of the door and another light to the right with a wooden lintel. The left gable end has been partly rebuilt in brick.
At the rear, there is a two-storey, one-unit range that extends back and includes a plank door. To the left of this door is a 20th-century casement window, with a 19th-century two-light casement window above it. Inside, the farmhouse features chamfered spine beams with stepped stops and two open fireplaces, with the timber bressumer having been refaced.
