Description
Ash House Farmhouse is an early to mid-18th century farmhouse located in Great Wolford. It is constructed of fine squared coursed limestone with quoins, and has coped gables, a slate roof with an ashlar ridge, and ashlar end stacks. One section has been rebuilt in brick. The building has a three-unit plan, two stories plus an attic, and a four-window front with 20th century two- and three-light casement windows, each with an old wood lintel. A 20th century panelled door, also beneath an old wood lintel, is located in the centre to the right of the facade. Two 20th century gabled dormers are present. An additional single-story range, also of brick, extends to the left. The rear has further 20th century two-light casements with old wood lintels. The interior was not inspected but is likely to be of interest.
