Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the early 18th century, with additions from the 19th century. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features quoins, a plain storey band, and coped gables on kneelers. The roof is made of stone-slate and has stone end stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan and is two stories high with a three-window range.
On the first floor, there are three 2-light casements with wooden lintels. The ground floor has a 18th-century cross casement with a stone lintel and keyblock on the right, and on the left, there is a 19th-century Gothick canted bay window with an embattled parapet. The central entrance features a six-panelled door with a plain overlight, a moulded stone surround, and a flat hood supported by consoles.
At the rear, there is a two-storey range from the 19th century with an artificial stone-slate roof. This range includes a six-panelled door within a Gothick porch and sash windows with quoined surrounds. Inside, the farmhouse has chamfered spine beams with shallow stepped stops, stone flagged floors, and 18th-century plank doors on the ground floor.
