Description
Woolscott Manor is a house built in the mid-18th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features 20th-century tile roofs, stone coped gable parapets, and rendered ridge and end stacks. The building has a U-plan layout with wings at the rear and is two storeys high with an attic, presenting a four-window range. The right side has a cross wing, and the porch at the angle includes a six-panelled door. The main range has two windows and features three-light wood mullioned and transomed windows, with horizontal glazing bars and brick flat arches throughout. The wing contains a large four-pane sash window on the ground floor, while the one-storey-and-attic left range has a cross window. A hipped dormer features a two-light casement window. The irregular left return side includes a carriage arch with a wood lintel, and the right return side has a two-window range with a canted bay on the ground floor and four-pane sashes. There are two hipped two-light roof dormers, and a lower one-storey and attic range has a three-light casement. An outshut to the right has a two-light casement, and the left return side features a half-glazed door. The interior has not been inspected.
