Description
The Rookery is a house built in the late 18th century. It features Flemish bond brickwork with yellow headers and a moulded dentil cornice. The roof, added in the late 20th century, is hipped and covered with tiles, and there are brick ridge stacks. The building has a U-shaped plan with wings at the rear and stands two storeys tall, presenting a symmetrical three-window range. A 19th-century open-fronted brick porch with a hipped roof leads to the entrance, which consists of a six-panelled door topped with an overlight that has glazing bars. The windows are sashes set under gauged brick flat arches, while the left side of the building features a two-light leaded casement. The interior has not been inspected.
