Description
Thickthorn House is a house built in the late 18th century, with a 19th-century rear wing. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring a brick dentil cornice. The roof is covered with old tiles and has brick stacks at the ends. The house has a central staircase plan that extends to an L-shape with a wing on the left side at the rear. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and has a three-window range. The entrance features a six-panelled door topped by a fanlight in a square head. The ground floor has three-light wood mullioned and transomed windows, while the first floor includes three casements and a central two-light casement, all with glazing bars. Each opening is adorned with brick cambered arches. The return sides of the house have two-light attic casements, and the gables are decorated with brick corbelling. The interior has not been inspected.
