Description
The Lodge is an early 19th-century house located on Coventry Road in Brinklow. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond and features a slate roof with brick stacks at both ends. The building stands three storeys tall and has a three-window range. The entrance consists of a six-panelled part-glazed door with a fanlight, set within a Doric porch that has a broken pediment. To the left and right of the ground and first storeys are tripartite sashes, while above the door is a single 12-pane unhorned sash. The second storey has six-pane horned sashes. All windows are adorned with stucco lintels that have keyblocks. There is a first-floor string course and a moulded wood eaves cornice. A later 19th-century extension has been added to the rear. Inside, the house features six-panelled doors and a stick baluster staircase.
