Description

No. 46 Broad Street is a house dating from the late 17th century. It has a timber-framed structure with brick cladding and infill, topped by an old tile roof that features a brick stack at one end. The building is two storeys high and has a two-window range, with a crosswing on the left side. The front door and windows are from the 20th century and have segmental brick arches, while the crosswing has 20th-century casements. There is a nogged brick eaves cornice, and original framing is preserved only on the left side of the crosswing. The interior is said to contain some original beams and roof timbers. This house is included in the listing for its group value.
