Description

Slowley Green Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century and the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of whitewashed rendered brick and features plain-tile roofs, with the main range having a panelled brick ridge stack. The building is L-shaped, with a 17th-century wing that projects forward to the right. It has two storeys and an attic.

The main range, which dates from the 18th century, has a baffle-entry and four windows. There is a 20th-century gabled glazed porch added to the third bay, with a two-light casement window above it. Throughout the farmhouse, there are three-light casements that have horizontal glazing bars. The ground floor windows feature cambered arches, while the first floor has painted wood lintels. A brick dog-tooth cornice adds detail to the structure.

The long 17th-century wing has an 18th-century front wall characterized by large quoins and a moulded coped gable parapet with kneelers. This wing also has three-light casements similar to those in the 18th-century range. The left return side of the wing has a blocked two-light stone mullioned window on the left, with two similar windows on the first floor, one of which is blocked. The right return side has additional casements. The interior has not been inspected.
