Description
Wagster Cottage is a house dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the late 18th to early 19th centuries. It features a timber-framed structure with red brick underbuilding and infill from the late 18th to early 19th centuries. The cottage has plain-tiled roofs, with a red brick ridge stack and an end stack. The building has a two-bay plan, with a narrower entry bay located at the rear of the stack. It stands two storeys high and has segmental header brick arches over two ground floor flush frame 20th-century casements. The first floor and gable end display exposed timber framing, consisting of small framing with three panels in height on each wall. The doorway is now situated in a 20th-century lean-to porch at the front.
