Description
Strawberry Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in 1636, with extensions and partial rebuilding to the southeast. The original structure is timber-framed with red brick infill, while the later extensions are made of late 18th century to early 19th century red brick laid in Flemish bond. The roof is plain-tiled, and there is a projecting side stack made of coursed sandstone, which originally featured a dated stone from 1636. The original part of the house consists of two bays and has two storeys plus an attic. The southeast front includes a 20th-century gable dormer and one 20th-century casement window on each storey. The walls show exposed small framing with four panels in height, and there is upward bracing from the main posts to the wall plate. The later extensions to the southeast also have a plain-tiled roof. The doorway features a half-glazed door from the 20th century, and the windows have been modernized. The interior has not been inspected.
