Description
Pear Tree Cottage is a pair of cottages dating from the late 17th century, with 20th-century alterations and additions. The structure is timber-framed with brick infill panels and has a plain-tile roof with brick ridge stacks. It is one storey high with an attic and features irregular framing, including parts with three tiers of small rectangular panels up to the eaves level and straight braces. The front has four windows, primarily 20th-century casements, along with two 20th-century canted bay windows on the right side and five gabled attic dormers. The left bay is a late 20th-century timber-framed addition, and there are two 20th-century doors. Inside, there is an exposed collar-and-tie-beam roof truss on the right gable, featuring V-struts above the collar and three vertical struts below. The interior has not been inspected.
