Description
Lindridge Barn and Stable is a field barn and stable dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble, with a small addition made of 19th-century brick. The roof is covered with plain tiles, some of which are from the 20th century. The barn consists of three bays, with a one-bay stable on the left. The barn features a large central doorway, while the rear has been bricked up in the 20th century with a plank door inserted. The walls include vents for ventilation. The lean-to addition across the stable on the left has a catslide roof. The left side of the stable has a slightly altered doorway and a pitch door above it. The right side features a pitch door, and the apex of the gable has been rebuilt in brick. The roof structure includes queen struts with subsidiary struts, lower through purlins, and upper butt purlins, with part of the ridge replaced in the 20th century.
