Description
Kimberley Green Cottage is a cottage dating from the 18th century, with some alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble, featuring rendered quoins and a string course, along with a brick dogtooth cornice. The plain-tile roof has a rendered gable parapet on the left end and a stocky 19th century brick stack at the left end of the ridge.
The cottage has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a two-window range. A 20th century half-glazed door is topped by a plain-tile hood. The windows are irregularly arranged, featuring late 20th century top-hung windows alongside 19th century two- and three-light casements that have horizontal glazing bars, all set beneath brick segmental arches. The first floor includes old three-light casements with horizontal glazing bars.
Inside, the cottage retains beams and an open fireplace.
