Description
Brook End Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse constructed from sandstone rubble, topped with an old plain-tile roof and featuring a central brick chimney stack. The building follows a two-unit baffle entry plan and stands two storeys tall with a two-window range. The front includes a mid-20th century half-glazed door and porch, as well as a plank door with a brick segmental arch inside. There is a small blocked square central window, and late 20th-century three-light casements with glazing bars, which have wooden lintels. Inside, the farmhouse boasts wide back-to-back fireplaces with chamfered bressumers and chamfered ceiling beams, along with an old quarter turn staircase.
