Description
Peach Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that has some early to mid-19th century rebuilding or refacing. It features a timber frame with infill and whitewashed brick rebuilding, set on a sandstone plinth. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has brick end and ridge stacks. The cottage is designed in an L-shape and has two storeys with a three-window range. The main front faces at right angles to the road, with the right bay constructed of brick. There is a central door that is part-glazed and dates from the 19th century, with a small fixed cross-glazed window above it. The three-light casements have horizontal glazing bars, except for the first floor on the left side. There is a wing at the rear towards the road that features a similar casement. Additionally, there are two late 20th-century two-light dormers. The interior is noted for having exposed framing.
