Description

This building is a small barn and stabling located to the northeast of the new barn, dating from the 18th century and mid-19th century. The barn, which is from the 18th century, is constructed of stone rubble and features a pantiled roof. It has a deep plinth and four pivoting casements with red brick surrounds. The rear of the barn includes a projecting hipped cart entrance and it consists of five bays, with two tiers of staggered purlins, diagonal tension braces, and angled queen struts, two of which are curved. Adjacent to the north is a mid-19th century stable that includes a hayloft above, also made of coursed stone rubble with a pantiled roof, and featuring two stable doors. To the south, there is a pair of stables that are single-storey, constructed of stone rubble with a pantiled roof, and have two stable doors set in red brick surrounds.
