Description

Newbarn is a house dated 1793, associated with the Worsley estate. It is constructed of coursed stone rubble and features a hipped tiled roof with two brick chimneystacks, one located at the front ridge on the left and the other on the right side. The building has two storeys and five windows, primarily sash windows with moulded architraves and 12 panes, although there are two mid-19th century sashes on the ground floor to the right side. The façade includes keystones and a central six-fielded panelled door, with the top two panels glazed. A wide central porch is supported by wooden Tuscan columns and features dentil moulding. The rear elevation has a 20th-century stone loggia.
