Description

Fry Headstone, located approximately 55 metres west of the Church of St Mary, is a headstone dedicated to Bernard Fry, a surgeon who died in 1827. The headstone is made of ashlar stone and features a shaped top. The inscription, primarily in verse, commemorates Fry's efforts to assist the poor of Stafford during a typhus outbreak, as well as his own death from the disease.
