Description
Number 6 St Mary's Grove is a house, now used as an office, built around 1750 with later alterations. It is constructed of roughcast brick with plaster and ashlar dressings, and features a tile roof. The building has two storeys and a two-window range. A plaster platt band runs over the ground floor, topped by a cornice. The entrance, which is round-headed and located to the right of the centre, has pilasters with faceted panels, an archivolt, and a fluted key. Above the six-fielded-panel door is a fanlight with radial glazing bars. The windows have sills and are fitted with 12-pane horned sashes, while there are two flat-roofed dormers with 16-pane horned sashes. The right side of the building features a tall narrow window with a 9/9-pane horned sash. Inside, the property retains a staircase with an open string, a column on vase balusters, and a moulded handrail.
