Description
These workshops were built in 1872 and are located approximately 250 yards east of The Swan. They are constructed of red brick with a slate roof and feature brick ridge stacks. The building is aligned northeast to southwest and faces northwest. It is a single storey structure with about eleven bays, predominantly featuring large glazing bar casements with segmental heads. There is one glazing bar sash window to the left of center. The building has a near full-height double door to the right, two doors at the center, and one door to the left of center, all of which have segmental heads. The workshops are part of a group of buildings situated on the Trent and Mersey Canal at its junction with the Coventry Canal, and they are recognized for their group value.
