Glasgow Lead And Colour Works, 50-56 Ruchill Street, Glasgow

The Glasgow Lead and Colour Works, built around 1874, is a two-storey workshop structure arranged in a V-plan, featuring nine bays on each side. The building is constructed of red brick with white brick dressings and has slate roofs.

The frontage facing Ruchill Street is characterized by full-height brick pilaster strips that divide the bays. All openings are segmental headed, with one door located one bay from the east. The windows consist of fixed lights, some with top openings and others as casements, and there are two corniced wallhead stacks.

The canal-facing elevation mirrors the Ruchill Street side, also featuring arched openings and four wallhead stacks. The real elevation is similarly made of red brick with arched openings, although it shows some later alterations.
