Description
This is a milepost, possibly from the early 20th century, made of cast iron. It has a triangular shape and features an inclined head set about 600 millimeters above the ground. The front is inscribed with "ELMHURST/PARISH," while the left side shows the distances to Handsacre (3 miles), Abbots Bromley (9 miles), and Uttoxeter (16 miles). The right side indicates that Lichfield is 2 miles away.
