Description

This is a milepost located on Lichfield Road in Abbots Bromley, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and filled with concrete, featuring a triangular section with a chamfered top. The top face is inscribed with "ABBOTS / BROMLEY." The left side indicates "UTTOXETER 7," while the right side lists distances to "NEWBOROUGH 3½ / HANDSACRE 6 / BURTON 11 / LICHFIELD 11."
