Description
This is a milepost located in Uttoxeter Rural, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular section with a chamfered top. The top face is inscribed with "UTTOXETER". The left-hand face shows "UTTOXETER 3", while the right-hand face lists distances to various locations: "ABBOTS-/ BROMLEY 4 / HANDSACRE 10/ BURTON 15 / LICHFIELD 15".
