Description
Walnut House is a house built in the late 18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a clay tile roof, a brick ridge stack, and a brick integral end stack. The house has a three-room plan with the stairs located opposite the entrance. It stands two storeys high with a gable-lit attic and has a dentilled eaves course. There are three windows, which are casements with segmental heads. To the left of the centre, there is a 20th-century gabled porch with a 20th-century casement. The west gable displays a toothed brick band at the first-floor level and the exposed ends of a pair of purlins. Inside, there is a former inglenook featuring a chamfered and stopped bresummer, along with a salt box, a spice box, and chamfered ceiling beams.
