Description
The garden house, located at Loxley Park, is likely from the early 19th century and incorporates materials from the 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features embossed and carved ashlar casing. The building is a single storey with a pediment that is interrupted by heraldic arms, which include a lion rampant topped with a crest of a helmet and greyhound beneath a tree. The structure has three bays, with a central doorway that has a three-centred arch and a raised key adorned with a grotesque head. This doorway is flanked by two round-headed window openings that have projecting foliated aprons. The materials used for this garden house were sourced from Loxley Hall during its remodeling in the early 19th century. As of February 1985, the building was roofless.
