Description

Dandelion Cottages is a row of houses, now used as offices, located on the north side of High Street in Abbots Bromley. The buildings date from the early 18th century, with additions from the early to mid-19th century. They are constructed of red brick and feature clay tile roofs, with brick ridge and integral gable end stacks. The row is divided into two parts: a pair of 18th-century houses on the right and a pair of 19th-century houses on the left.

The 18th-century houses are two storeys tall with a gable-lit attic. They have a moulded eaves course, coped verges on kneelers, and panelled stacks. Each house has four windows featuring glazing bar casements with wedge lintels and raised keystones. The entrances are half-glazed doors located to the left and right of the centre, each with bracketed hoods.

The 19th-century houses are also two storeys high and have a toothed eaves course and ashlar quoins. They contain two windows with glazing bar casements and wedge lintels. The doors consist of four-panelled doors on the left and right, with a central boarded alley door, all featuring lintels.

In front of each house, a dwarf wall along with cast iron gates and railings encloses a small garden.
