Description

Town End Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that was remodelled in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof and a central brick stack. The house has a main range and a rear wing, following a lobby-entry plan. The two-storey main range has a dentil eaves course and two windows on each floor, featuring 20th-century casements. The ground-floor windows have segmental heads, and the central doorway is also segmental headed. The roof verges are corbelled. Inside, the house has chamfered and stopped ceiling beams, an inglenook fireplace, and a timber-framed partition wall separating the main range from the rear wing.
