Description
This is a milepost located approximately 10 yards northwest of the Red House, dating from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular section with a chamfered top. The top face is inscribed with "MAYFIELD," while the left-hand face reads "ASHBOURNE 3¼." The right-hand face displays "ELLASTONE 1¾ / ROCESTER 4½ / UTTOXETER 9."
