Description

This is a milepost located in Upper Ellastone, dating from the mid-to-late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and has a triangular shape with a chamfered top. The top face is inscribed with "ELLASTONE." The left side displays "LEEK 13," while the right side shows "ELLASTONE ¼ / ROCESTER 3¾ / UTTOXETER 7¾."
