Description

The screen wall, railings, and pinnacles located northeast of Adam Bede's House date from the early 19th century. The structure features coursed rubble walls, cast iron railings, and dressed stone pinnacles. The wall is approximately 40 yards long and is decorated with seven Gothic style crocketed pinnacles. There are two pairs of pinnacles that flank garden gates at each end of the wall, while two additional pinnacles are positioned beside a section of fleur-de-lys railings towards the right of the center.
