Description
This milepost, located in Ellastone, is a Grade II listed structure from the mid to late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a triangular section with a chamfered top. The top face is inscribed with "ELLASTONE." The left-hand face displays the distances to various locations: "ELLASTONE ¾," "ROCESTER 3½," and "UTTOXETER 8." The right-hand face indicates the distance to "ASHBOURNE 4¼."
