Description

Northwood Cottages is a terrace of four cottages, likely originating from the early 18th century and remodeled in the mid-19th century. The cottages are constructed with dressed large stone blocks and feature a clay tile roof, along with stone and brick ridge stacks and integral end stacks. They are one storey high with an attic, having seven ground floor windows and six attic windows, all of which are casements. The three attic windows on the left and the four ground floor windows on the left have central flat-faced mullions, and there is a blocked former first floor, two-light window to the left. There are four doors from left to right, which are glazed, boarded, plain, and boarded. The central section has two large gables, each containing two attic windows, while smaller gables on each side have one attic window each. The north gable features two attic casements. Inside, the cottages have exposed ceiling beams.
