Description
Black and White Cottages is a terrace of two cottages dating from the 17th century. They are timber framed with rendered infill and brick, topped with a plain tile roof. The cottages are two storeys high. The entrance front features 15 by 3 cells of uneven small framing, with angle braces on the fifth upright from the left and the fourth from the right. There are two plank doors on the left side, along with a 4-light, a 3-light, and a 2-light casement window on the ground floor. On the first floor, there is one 3-light casement window, two 2-light casement windows, and a single-light casement window. The cottages have a 20th-century tile roof and chimney stacks located at the left of centre and on the left gable end. The left gable end is made of brick, as are the outshuts that conceal the rear.
