Description

Royal Oak Cottage is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a plain tile roof. The central block is flanked by lower wings on either side. The entrance front has three bays that are nearly symmetrical. A two-brick band separates the floors. The ground and first floors have three-light casement windows. On the ground floor, to the left of center, there is a doorway with a 20th-century plank door and a 20th-century gabled timber porch in front. The roof has gable stacks on either side. The lower gabled wings on each side have three-light casement windows on the ground floor and three-light gabled windows on the first floor, which are likely from the 20th century.
