Description
3 The Green is a house from the early 19th century, built of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, topped with a plain tile roof. It has two storeys and an entrance front with three bays. The entrance is on the right, featuring a doorway with a panelled surround and a six-panel door, where the lower two panels are flush and there is a rectangular overlight above. In front of the entrance is a later 19th-century gabled porch supported by arched brackets. To the left of the entrance are two windows, each with three rows of four sash panes, and at the far left is an alley doorway with a round-arched head. On the first floor, there are three sash windows, also with three rows of four panes. All the windows have flat-arched heads and stone sills. The house has one chimney stack in the centre and another on the left ridge. This building is noted for its group value with nearby structures.
