Description
Calwichbank Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, dated 1729 on the rainwater head. It features chisel dressed ashlar stone and a clay tile roof, with integral ashlar end stacks. The building consists of two parallel ranges and stands two storeys high, with a first-floor band and a gable-lit attic. It has five bays, each with two-light flat face mullioned windows set in raised surrounds that contain casements. The central entrance is a half-glazed door flanked by rusticated pilasters and topped with a moulded cornice, and there is a coved eaves course. To the right, there is a single-storey kitchen extension that includes, from the left, a door, a casement window, and an integral end stack, along with a large stone tank or trough in front of the window. Each northeast gable has an attic window to the left.
