Description

Cabin Knoll is a house with a core dating from the 17th century, which was remodeled and partly rebuilt in the 18th century. It features coursed and squared large stone blocks, with some areas rebuilt in red brick, and has a clay tile roof with red brick integral end stacks. The building has an L-shape plan, with ranges to the northwest aligned northeast-southwest and to the southwest aligned northwest-southeast, and an extension projecting from the northwest face of the northwest range. It stands three storeys tall, with the upper two floors added in the 18th century. The southeast range has a single bay to the right, while the northwest range has one bay at right angles to the left. The windows are casements, with the first-floor windows being segment-headed. The southeast range has a door to the left and windows to the right, while the northwest range has a door to the left and windows to the right, with a small casement located between the door and the ground floor window.
