Description
105 and 105A Corve Street is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of brick with a plain tile roof and features brick end stacks. The building has three storeys and a cellar, with a three-window range. The windows are late 19th century plain sashes set in moulded cases, topped with gauged brick flat arches and stucco keystones. The upper floors have similar window arrangements, and the eaves are moulded brick with stone coped gable parapets.
The central entrance has a 20th-century part-glazed door beneath a flat hood supported by consoles, with a gauged brick flat arch and stucco keystone above. This door is flanked by late 19th century sashes in moulded cases, also under gauged brick flat arches.
At the rear, there is a two-storey roughcast wing (No.105A) with a cross axial ridge stack, plain tiles, and 8/8 sashes with modillion eaves. The ground floor features a 20th-century half-glazed door to the right, alongside late 19th century sashes in various configurations: 3/3, 2/2, 6/6, and 2/2. A two-storey lean-to forms a porch for the part-glazed door in a mutilated 19th-century case. Additionally, there is a further brick range to the rear, which was formerly used as maltings and has external steps leading to the first floor. No.105A was listed on October 28, 1969.
