Description
These are two houses, Tudor House and Tudor Cottage, dating from the 17th century. They are timber-framed and have a Welsh slate roof that was likely lowered in the 19th century. A central brick stack rises from the roof. The houses are arranged with a two-unit plan, and are three stories high with a four-window front.
On the left is a 19th-century bay window with 8/8 and 2/2 sash windows. The centre section has two small, mullioned windows with leaded lights. To the right is a 19th-century casement window. The timber framing features chevron bracing to the first floor, with a stop-moulded bressummer supported on enriched consoles. The second floor has a bowed sash window with a 6/6 design on the left, and a 19th-century casement on the right. Cusped quarter-braced panels are also visible.
The ground floor features a 20th-century plank door with overlight on the far left, followed by two small, mullioned windows with leaded lights. A 19th-century bay window has 8/8 and 2/2 sashes, followed by two further mullioned windows with leaded lights. Another 19th-century bay window is present, alongside a 20th-century plank door recessed in a moulded case. A final 20th-century plank door with an overlight leads to a passage at the rear. A stop-moulded bressummer, supported on enriched consoles, runs above the ground floor.
