Description
Nos. 33 to 39 on Willow Street is a terrace of shops and offices built in the early 19th century, with later additions and alterations. The building is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof that is hipped over the central section, along with ridge and end stacks. It stands three storeys tall, with a taller central section. The design includes a moulded stone eaves cornice and first-floor cill bands on the central and right sections. The windows are arranged in a 2:2:4 pattern, with the left bay of the right section set back. The centre and right sections have glazing bar sashes with gauged heads, while the first floor of the centre section features tall 15-paned sashes. The left section has glazing bar sashes in recessed stone surrounds under segmental brick heads on the first floor. The left section has late 20th-century shop fronts, while the centre features two plate-glass sashes. The ground floor of the right section retains an elliptical arch in the centre, flanked by round arches with impost bands, and has a contemporary half-glazed door in the centre with tripartite sashes on either side.
