Description
Kingswell Community Centre is a non-conformist chapel that was built around 1830 and has since been converted into an office and then a community centre. The building is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof that is hidden by a shaped pediment from the late 19th or early 20th century. It is two storeys high and has a moulded stone eaves cornice at the front, with a floor band that extends around the sides. The front has three windows, which are fitted with late 20th century aluminium-framed sashes set in original double-recessed round arches. There is a central entrance that features a stone Greek Doric porch with fluted columns and a moulded entablature, behind which are late 20th century double doors. The left side of the building has four glazing bar sashes on the first floor, while the rear elevation retains its original gable and two tall round-arched windows.
