Description
Nos. 1 and 2 are three houses that have been combined into one. They have a core dating from the 17th century, with later additions and extensions. The exterior features a cement-rendered timber frame and painted stone rubble on the right-hand bay, topped with plain-tiled roofs. There are brick ridge and rear projecting eaves stacks. The building has a three-bay range with a fourth bay added to the right.
The front of the building is single-storey with an attic. It has one two-light casement window flanking a central plain boarded door, with a three-light casement window to the far right and a 20th-century casement window to the far left, which replaced a former door. There are three restored gabled dormers. The rear has brick-infilled square framing, mostly covered by later lean-to extensions, with render on the left and a two-light casement window. There is also a single flat-roofed dormer and a casement window at ground floor level on the side gable end. A single-purlin roof is evident. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
