Description
The Village, a house occupied by Mrs. B Morris, is a 17th-century building located in Hopton Wafers. It features a timber frame that is covered by render, with coursed rubble at the rear and a plain-tile roof. The house has brick ridge stacks.
The exterior is two stories high. The front has three early 19th-century two-light casement windows with top-lights on the first floor, and two more on the ground floor. There is a 20th-century plain boarded door to the left. At the rear, the coursed rubble wall is partly covered by a 20th-century lean-to extension. To the right, there is a brick projecting wing with dentil course eaves and an integral brick chimney. On the gable end, there is a two-light casement window with leaded lights on the first floor.
The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
