Description
This is a group of two headstones located 7 meters south-south-east of the chancel of the Church of St Margaret. They date from the mid-18th century and are made of ashlar.
The headstone to the west is a rectangular slab set horizontally. It features an inscribed bordered panel with volute ornament on the upper face and an ornamented curved head. This headstone commemorates John Ward, who died in 1742.
The headstone to the east is a thick rectangular slab set vertically. It also has an inscribed bordered panel and a curved head, but the dedication is unknown. This headstone marks a burial from 1750.
