Description
This is a group of three headstones located about 3 to 6 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St. Margaret. They date from the early 18th century and are approximately 2 feet high, featuring scrolled sides and a segmental head with a crude winged cherub. One headstone commemorates John Lasnes, who died in 1769, and stands about 3 feet high. It has a scrolled head adorned with shells and depicts a scene of the dead rising from graves, along with an hourglass and anchor. Another headstone, marking John who died in 1725, is about 2½ feet high and features a fielded panel with a scrolled and draped head, along with figures representing Death and Time.
