Description
St Margaret's Church of England Primary School, dated 1847, is now used as a library and an old persons club. The building features flint construction with red and white brick dressings and a slate roof. It has an F-shaped plan and is a single storey with stacks at both ends. To the right, there is a projecting gabled wing, and in the center, a projecting gabled porch. The wing contains a double sash window with a pointed light above it. On either side of the porch, there are two sash windows, and the porch itself has an ogee-headed door with a label hood above, inscribed with "National School AD 1847." The left end bay is likely a slightly later extension.
