Description

Holly Lodge is a late 17th-century house, extended and altered in the mid-18th century. It is constructed of red brick and flint, with a plain tiled roof. The house comprises two parallel ranges, with the entrance facade set across the two short ends. It is three storeys high, with parapets and double-span half-hipped roofs, each with a stack. The second floor has two wooden casements and a central lunette. The first floor has three sash windows, and the ground floor has two sashes, with a central door consisting of six raised and fielded panels, framed by a fluted pilastered cornice surround. The rear elevations, particularly of the northernmost wing, suggest an earlier origin for the building.
